PhotoFoo (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates PhotoFoo.com and the PhotoFoo application. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide through our authentication provider, Clerk. We store a reference to your Clerk user ID in our database alongside your email.
Photos you upload are stored in our cloud storage (Vercel Blob) to enable processing. We also store metadata about each upload, including original file name, file size, file type, and processing status. Uploaded and generated images are stored in a cloud bucket associated with your account.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers. We store transaction identifiers (Stripe session IDs, payment intent IDs, event IDs), credit balances, and transaction history to manage your account credits.
We collect information about how you use the Service, including which photo enhancement tools you use, processing timestamps, and any errors encountered. This data is used to operate and improve the Service.
Our marketing website uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymized page view and visitor data. We also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The Meta Pixel may collect information about your actions on our site and associate them with your Facebook profile if you are logged in to Facebook.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models without your explicit consent.
We share data with trusted third-party providers only as necessary to operate the Service:
Each provider has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
We retain your account information and upload history for as long as your account is active. Uploaded original photos and generated images are stored until you delete them or your account is closed. Payment transaction records are retained for as long as required by applicable financial and tax laws. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure infrastructure provided by our cloud vendors. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.
We use cookies and similar technologies to authenticate your session, remember your preferences, and analyze usage via Vercel Analytics. The Meta Pixel also sets cookies to measure ad performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; object to or restrict processing; and request data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at help@photofoo.com. We will respond to requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
